CFA and Advocates Urge Congress to Protect the CFPB’s Credit Card Late Fees Rule

CFA joined a group of 90 national and state advocacy groups calling on Congress to reject attempts by lawmakers to kill the CFPB’s finalized rule on credit card late fees using the Congressional Review Act. The CFPB's rule will save consumers and working families an estimated $9 billion annually, providing much-needed relief to those who are impacted by these penalties and are already struggling to make ends meet.
