CFA Calls on Education Department to Unveil Hardship NPRM

CFA joined a letter with a coalition of 227 groups to the Department of Education urging it to immediately release its plan to provide student loan debt relief to borrowers experiencing hardship. One year after a conservative majority of the Supreme Court struck down President Biden’s original debt relief program, it is critical that the Department move swiftly and urgently to publish an NPRM on the hardship rules which will allow the Administration to deploy necessary relief to the millions of Americans whose economic mobility and financial stability are hindered by the student debt crisis.
