CFA joined with ASAP, ACEEE, NCLC and NEEP in providing the Department of Energy (DOE) with suggestions on priority actions the Department should take.

They are as follows:

  • DOE must advance all rulemakings with legal deadlines.
  • DOE should move quickly to undue the harmful rules finalized under the Trump administration.
  • DOE should complete three discretionary rulemakings that are already far along, i.e. dedicated purpose pool pump motors.
  • DOE should consider initiating rulemakings for additional products not currently covered by federal standards, i.e. air purifiers, portable electric spas.
