CFA Joins Letter to OIRA Urging Swift Adoption of Crucial Regulations

CFA, with over 20 other advocacy organizations, urged the prompt completion of rulemakings under review by the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs (OIRA) that aim to improve public safety on U.S. roads. The letter highlights the alarming rise in traffic fatalities, with over 42,500 deaths in 2022 and projections of similar numbers for 2023. Motor vehicle crashes have an enormous economic impact, costing nearly $1.4 trillion in 2019. The letter calls for swift action on proposed rulemakings, which will reduce this fatality and injury toll.
