CFA, Other Consumer Groups Submit Comments to FCC on Proposed Rules Regarding Advanced Methods for Blocking Robocalls

Consumers Union, Consumer Action, Consumer Federation of America, National Association of Consumer Advocates, National Consumer Law Center on behalf of its low-income clients, Public Citizen, and Public Knowledge submitted comments on proposed rules to improve protections against unwanted and illegal robocalls. The groups supported the Federal Communications Commission’s proposal to clarify that all providers may block fraudulently spoofed calls under certain circumstances and suggested further steps that could be taken to address the problem.
