CFA Supports Proposal to Allow Opt-outs of Bulk Billing Arrangements

CFA joined a letter with the American Economic Liberties Project, Public Knowledge and 28 other groups supporting the FCC’s proposal to allow residents of apartments, condos, public housing, and other multi-tenant buildings to opt-out of bilk billing internet arrangements. These arrangements stifle consumer choice, disproportionately harm low-income tenants, and reduce reliable internet access. Allowing consumers to opt-out of these pre-arranged contracts will provide them with an opportunity to obtain internet access on terms that are more suitable for them rather than their landlord or property owner.
