Consumer Groups Tell FTC to Do it’s Homework before Proposing Changes to COPPA

In comments to a notice of inquiry from the Federal Trade Commission about whether changes are needed to the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act, Consumer Federation of America joined thirty other groups urging the agency to use its 6(b) authority to investigate industry practices in order to better understand how companies are collecting and using children’s personal information.
