Groups Oppose Bad Nebraska Privacy Bill

CFA and other consumer and privacy organizations told a Nebraska legislative committee that advancing LB 1188, the Uniform Data Protection Act, would be worse than taking no action at all on privacy because it does little to reform inappropriate data practices and could make it harder to enact legislation in the future that would truly benefit consumers and hold companies accountable.
