Groups Recommend Additional Improvements to Washington Privacy Act

Noting that recent amendments have improved the Washington Privacy Act, CFA and other groups recommended additional action to strengthen consumers’ rights and recourse, including changing the defaults for consumer’ choice from opt-out to opt-in and broadening the remedies consumers can seek in private rights of action.
