In testimony before the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), CFA Legislative Director and General Counsel Rachel Weintraub has provided comments on the CSPC's fiscal year 2019 and 2020 priorities. CFA urges CPSC to take actions to protect consumers and enforce its laws, including taking action to address hazards posed by recreational off- highway vehicles (ROVs), window coverings, flame retardants in consumer products, high-powered magnet sets, all-terrain vehicles (ATVs), furniture tip-overs, and laundry packets. CFA also encourages CPSC to continue to improve recall effectiveness, as well as the use and effectiveness of SaferProducts.gov.
