For three decades, CFA has sought to promote effective financial education. CFA is pleased to have the opportunity to explain our views on the role and limits of this education. In this testimony, there is discussion of the need for financial literacy, the limits of financial education, essential characteristics of effective financial education, and the single most important initiative we could take to promote financial literacy.
